  Heys Residents’ Association

There was a meeting on 23 February 2008 with Heys Residents’ Association. The group's organiser has confirmed that it is an accurate account of the meeting.

Views of Heys Residents’ Association

The group is a formally constituted Residents’ Association representing approximately 150-200 households which holds regular meetings where local issues of importance are discussed.

Heys residents want to see the regeneration of Kirkby Town Centre.

Although there is no clear consensus in the group, they do share reservations about the scale of the proposal and have strong concerns about the proposed football stadium in regard to policing anti-social behaviour, traffic congestion on match days, the phasing of different elements of the proposal and pollution resulting from increased traffic.

They would also like to see the regeneration of the whole town centre as an integrated development.
